About the Authors
Matt Barrows
Matt has covered the San Francisco 49ers for 22 seasons for both The Athletic and The Sacramento Bee. Before that he spent two years in South Carolina with The Hilton Head Island Packet where he won an award for environmental reporting. He is also the author of the non-fiction book, If These Walls Could Talk: San Francisco 49ers. Matt is an avid birder (life list: 701), amazing uncle and thinks his older sister is bossy and sends too many early-morning texts. His greatest achievement: He’s never been inside a port-a-potty.
Jessica Beebe
Jessica is an award-winning mother of three teenagers and a puppy. She has one fantastic husband and they live in Burlingame, CA. In a former life, Jessica was a journalist, editor, national TV news producer and documentarian, but not all at the same time. She hates germs, loves snorkeling and her happy place is Midcoast Maine in summer. Her brother thinks he’s the funny one, but clearly he’s wrong. Muddy the Water is Jessica’s first novel.
