"The Lost Bookshop" by Evie Woods tells the story of Opaline, a young woman who escapes a forced marriage in 1920s London and finds refuge in a Parisian bookshop, where she encounters famous literary figures like James Joyce and Ernest Hemingway, while simultaneously following Martha, a contemporary woman who flees to Dublin to escape a troubled past and becomes entangled with a scholar named Henry who is desperately searching for a mysterious, long-lost bookshop and a possible unpublished novel by Emily Bronte; as the narratives intertwine, the characters discover that their lives are deeply connected to the secrets held within the pages of old books, leading them to confront their own pasts and find personal redemption.
